  6. Watching those goals a few things strike me:
    1. Just how both Shola and Nolan, though have their negative aspects, are very important members of the first team.
    2. Play Barton on the right from now on lol forgot how many goals came from him on the right!!

  8. I think watching some of those games that it just shows that when we do our thing rather than worry about what the opposition do then we’re a match for most teams. When confidence is up we play some bloody good stuff and if we can get more consistent with the crossing we’ll be sorted……sounds easy when you write it. 🙂

    Apart from Carroll, practically all the goals like you say are setup or finished by Nolan and Ameobi. It’s just what they do for the rest of the game that sometimes bugs me but Shola’s hold up play was better against Wigan. We have to hope he is still fit after tomorrow though because he rairly go’s more than 2 games these days without some sort of problem.

  13. I would prefer he wasn’t rushed for the derby tbh. I know its an important game but if he’s not 100% anyway whats the point play someone else and if he got injured again for another month it would just be stupid coz we need him fully fit.

  16. I have faith in Shola for the Hammers game, hope the rest of the lads are up for it, but I have a real good feeling, close to a full house, great atmosphere and a 3-0 win for the lads !!

  18. agreed Toonsy, Shola is always up for the derby games. His goal at the toon earlier this year when we cuffed them 5-1 was one of the greatest ever derby goals in my opinion.

  22. I saw him in one game when he basically came on and scored two and rescued the game for us (think it was a cup game). His touch on the ball ect also was class and I thought how can this guy get so much stick? But like you say he has games where he just is very poor. Like in the Wigan game when he brought the ball down out of the air with control that not one other player on that pitch had, then he miss-hit a simple pass. Sums him up really.

  30. Peter Taylor has everything we could have asked for as an assistant, and would have brought a great balance to the more inexperienced coaches we have too.

Cannot believe it to be honest, cos the lad isn’t getting any younger, and no disrespect to Bradford but this is probably his last chance to rub shoulders with the big boys. Time will show what the reasons where…failure to agree compensation anyone…?

  44. noticed one thing watching the goals, that danny simpson for all the stick he gets can put a good ball in the box! the one against the scum that led to goala ameobi peach of a volley was fantastic!
