It’s the inaugural NUFC Blog Player of the Season vote, and it’s up to you, the fans, to decide the winner. Such is the prestige of this carefully sculpted (made from wood, tinfoil and sweat) award you’ll need to carefully consider your vote to make sure the right person wins this much sought after accolade.
There will be ground rules though. Any player listed on the following poll will have had to have made ten starts in the Premier League to be considered. They must also still be registered with Newcastle United, which is why Wayne Routledge sneaks into the vote. Erm that’s about it actually for ground rules. The nominees are as follows.

it was a close one between colo and barton for me.
tiote has had an excellent first season adapting to a new league and team, and you can see the difference in the team when hes not on the pitch.
In the end i went for Barton….well done lad. 😉

Tiote has held the midfield together and his role just in front of the back four is so important. For £3.5m and for turning down Chelsea to stay here and his consistent performances despite 14 yellows its gotta be Tiote for me!

Barton has tailed off for me in the last half dozen games. He’s still had a good season and his determination in that arsenal game stands out as inspirational.

Colo got my vote simply because he has been the most consistant player – yeah Barton has had some world class performances, same with Tiote but Colo has played well on a regular basis – pretty much every game.

Colo with out a shadow of a doubt. he has been quality all season. He does his job and works hard to cover his team mates mistakes (Willo and Taylor most of all). Which sometimes gets him into trouble.
