  1. I know we don’t like negativity on this site but that was terrible last night. So disappointed.
As soon as I saw the starting line up and formations of both teams, the writing was on the wall for me like.
Pardew got it sooo wrong last night it was ridiculous. To have Best and HBA on the bench and start 4-5-1 with Vukic was simply stupid.
I felt so sorry for Ba, who having had a great start to the season just never looked like getting close. The formation also seemed to take Oba out the game.
Bellamy was his usual worky self and took his first well but the freekick was a joke.
The game as a whole, our passing was poor, tackling was weak and we just seemed to be chasing shadows, like school kids.
I understand why Pardew set up as he did, but he was obviously playing for a draw and I don’t like that like. I think tiote and cabaye could have had the better of Adams and spearing and a partnership of Ba/Best or Ba/HBA could have done their defence. Our formation just encouraged them to attack coz they knew they had nowt to fear at the other end, I mean Jose and Johnson were more like wingers than full backs.
I believe you have to send out your best 11 and play your own game and we didn’t do that last night, no offence to Vukic but it was a mistake and we paid for it BIG TIME!!!

  2. To be fair, most people were calling for Best to be dropped….I would have preferred to see Shola at least make an appearance, and for Benny to come on earlier but I can see why we went for a five man mid, we struggled to gain possession anyway let alone if we’d gone 4-4-2. I think we need to bring benny on the right wing for Jonas now just to give him a fucking kick in the arse. Pards can go on all he likes about benny not being a winger/it not being his best position, when players aren’t performing consistently you need to fucking replace them or give them an actual challenge for their position.

I think we need a winger far more than a striker now, but a centre back that can also play right back would be nice.

Gutted Marveux got injured, was so excited about him coming πŸ™ Sammy is too young, and we got fuck all other options apart from Gosling.

  3. Troy spot on πŸ˜‰ this was the 1st game of the yr that I feared we would get hammered πŸ˜•
If your not about later have a good night and a happy new year mate to you and the Fam , oh and we might need another carriage πŸ˜‰

  4. DAVE we have very little chance of anyone comeing in imo.
was worth a try with vickic showed a couple of nice touches but not his game,we just showed them to much respect we couldnt string two passes together and we stood off them l/pool didnt win the game,we gave them it πŸ™ too many player off there game

  5. Ice it looked like the game got to young Vuckic, because he is better than that, and yeah there isn’t many players that can be happy with their performance lastnight.

  6. Like him or hate him Bellamy would have been a cracking player to get, I know he can be a bit of a twat at times but he allways give’s his all and expects the same from his team-mates.

  7. Have to agree with icedog and Big Dave. Jonas has been out of form for a month now. Getting concerned about him. Has the new contract made him less hungry? As for the 5 man midfield, it just didn’t work at all. We still couldn’t take advantage and Vuckic was never able to supply Ba at all. Most of us would have started a more experienced player. Will we ever find out why Ben Arfa is not starting games? I just can’t see what Pardew’s plan is and how he is going to manage without Ba for a month. To me we are in for a slide now. Aston Villa beat Chelsea today and Stoke is due for a win as well. We need players in and nobody sold in order to maintain our hold on 7th but I don’t think it will work out that way with our owner. πŸ™

  8. Aye Big Dave Bellamy still has that fire in his belly. I would take him in a second over either Jonas or Obertan but it’s not to be for us. Will Marveaux ever be able to stay healthy and when will we have him back playing? Our midfield strength doesn’t seem so overwhelming now. Where is Abeid in all this. Pardew used to rave about him so what happened? Gosling hasn’t been great either. Lots of concerns cropping up now. πŸ˜₯

  9. GeordieTwo we need players in but the problem is Jabba the [email protected] will not pay the going rate, so not only have we to worry about trying to get players in on peanuts, we also have to worry about keeping our better players.
All that Jabba is worried about apart from making money is staying in the prem nothing more.

  10. G2 i dont think for one minute jabba cares two monkeys about 7th as long as we stay in the PL thats all anything above the bottom 3 is a bonus to him, more cash next yr from PL,sky ect ect and all them free adverts πŸ™

  11. Bellamy is a tosser and Liverpool will find that out soon enough. AGAIN.

Yes he’s a top player but he’s an arrogant up his own arse bell end and will deffo cause some shit.

Liverpool are a time bomb waiting to go off with quite a few of their players.
Suarez is just the tip of the iceberg for them.

Before the seasons out ,Spearing will end someones career, Carroll will take a radgie by being constantly shit then go on a bender and getting locked up, Adam will end someones season or longer and Bellamy will simply cause unrest amongst the players.

  12. Spot on Big Dave and icedog. Sad to say but the second half of the season looks like a huge worry for us. Where is the good news with an owner like ours? Pray he doesn’t sell Krul or Ba for big dosh. We look very shaky and lacking in confidence now. I think Pardew will begin to be exposed. His tactics are very limited and he will possibly be found wanting in the second half. Without Ba I just wonder where the goals will come from. And at least Tiote puts some steel in our spine even if he has been off form lately. Have a brilliant New Year’s lads! πŸ˜€

  13. @Big Dave

Same back fella. All the best to you and your family.

Regarding Bellamy, he is a fantastic little player and was always going to be a danger.

  14. All the best to everyone on here. Have a happy and safe New Year’s. We may not agree about the club but I’m sure we’ll all be back on here battling in 2012! Personally I hope things go brilliantly for us and we sign several great players in January. A top 7 finish would be a thrill after the last few seasons!

  15. Have to agree with some of your comments about Bellamy Wolfie but we could use him in our side this season. His desire and drive when he is on the field is undeniable. We definitely need a fiery character like him to get some of our lads going. Other than Colo and Tiote I didn’t really see any desire from us yesterday. Ba will try all day as well but the service was non-existent. Ah well maybe we are saving our best for ManU! πŸ˜‰

  16. The disappointment at the result has given rise to much knee jerk reaction guys. Liverpool have been playing well recently without getting the points. In front of their geed up fans they were due to click and it had to happen against us didn’t it. Our opening goal was just what they needed to ignite their game. Funnily enough I feel more confident about the rest of the season now because I actually thought we played some really good stuff in places and we showed lots of quality imo. It’s just a few weeks since Man U lost 6-1, Spurs lost their first couple of games 3-0 and 5-1 so our 3-1 reverse against one of the “darlings” is not terminal by any means. Looking at the teams behind us I don’t really see anyone that is any better – do you? Remember we are still a work in progress and we should expect slip ups along the way. Be positive and get behind the lads. I believe we are making progress but of course we are not there yet. Also, our team is very young and quite frankly some of the things they are doing, although not yet consistently, is as good as I’ve seen from a Newcastle team for quite some time – and as they mature and grow they will get even better. Keep the faith guys. Pardew sees these guys every day and sees what we are unable to. I wish you all a happy and successful new year.

  17. I was quite optimistic about the game last night to be honest. We had a strong group of players to choice from and Liverpool had a couple of mediocre draws. Bizarrely I think Suarez being out last night did us no favours, because Bellamy came in with a point to prove.
We bottled it before we even kicked a ball last night. Pardew doesnt believe HBA is fit enough to last 90mins yet, but in that case he should start the game then be brought off.
Yesterday proved to me that whilst Best isn’t amongst the goals, Ba needs a striker up there with him to win the ball and hold it up.
Great that Man Utd was beaten today, they already want to spank us the draw last month and getting beat today has just pissed them off.

I would like to wish everyone associated with this site good health and good fortune for 2012, may it be a kind year to you all
