  1. Not a bad list Gary. Don’t think I would be sad if Barnetta was added to the list either, as I think he might be on a free too?

It would be nice if Chief Rotunda would actually go out and do this. I think it would go a very long way to finally laying to rest most peoples doubts about his ambition and intentions, I’m sure!

  2. JJ – I reckon Celtic will be back in for Best come the end of the season and he will be away. If we got £3m then I’d say we’ve done very well to be honest.

In terms of a replacement, I think Vuckic could better him anyway if given the opportunity.

I wonder if Celtic would be interested in Best + £1m for Gary Hooper.

  3. POOTLE – I didn’t know Barnetta was available on a free mate. He’s certainly worth adding to the list! I see his Swiss counterpart Shaqiri has joined Bayern Munich for around £9m. Can’t help but feel they’ve got themselves a bargain there! For me, he will be one of the best in the world before long.

  4. Pootle

Mbiwa (because he can play across the entire back four), adds competition everywhere.

Cissoko, because he is an excellent attacking left back, and would overlap. Jonas who could support him defensively. He’s naturally left footed so we wouldn’t have two players that have to cut back onto their right foot playing down the left flank. Santon could shift to the right of defence.

Marc Albrighton, because we’d finally have a winger with an excellent whipping delivery, who can chip in with a few goals.

I would use Abied as the back up holding midfielder.

Don’t think we need a striker with Ba, Cisse, Ben Arfa (no.10), Best, Ameobi…
I then would send, Gosling, Vuckic, Ferguson and Sammy Ameobi on loan.

I like Albrighton a lot. Don’t like seeing left footed players playing on the right. It would be ok with Jonas on the left, because Cissoko would be overlapping.

Of course none of this would happen. 😆 😉

JJ – No one is a Bergkamp type of player, he was a one off. Vuckic may play as a deep lying forward, but just the mention of the Bergkamp’s name is enough to create pressure.”

Are you joking? Star players will always come and go, and yes, Bergkamp was a great. But to say its wrong to mention a players name in comparison is nonsense.
It doesn’t mean they will mirror that player in every way, it just means they would play the same type of role.

Also greats will always be greats, but there is always a youngster out there capable of being just as good if not better.
    Maradona – Messi
    Kaka – Uzil
    Bergkamp – Fabregas
    Poyet – Lampard
    Shearer – Ba
    Henry – Van Persie

  6. Douglas and Hoilet would be good signings for nowt. Not so sure on denilson, Cant help but think Redmond and Clyne will end up wasting their talent playing in the stiffs for one of the big boys.

I would like to see us go for Diame from wigan who is out of contract and follow up the interest in Vertongan and Cissokho and maybe a young striker to add competition Jay Rodriguez or Luke De Jong ??

  7. JJ – To be fair those are all valid points and you may be right. I just know that if someone asked me to play the ‘Bergkamp role’ then I’d feel under great pressure.

  8. CC – Don’t you rate Denilson? I guess he’s kind of slipped off the radar lately having been loaned to a club in Brazil, but I still rate him highly. I reckon he’d be available for under £5m next season and if not then I’d imagine a loan deal to be possible.

  9. CC – Is Diame out of contract too? He could be very good in a better team.

So that’s it sorted, here’s the wish list…

    Douglas, Clyne, Diame, Hoillet, Barnetta

The money saved from Smith and Lovenkrands’ wages would help with paying these guys too. Someone get MA on the phone!

  10. gary

Maybe i saw him on the wrong days but he always looked a bit soft and didnt really win many tackles for a holding midfielder, Diames not tiote dominant in the middle but he can break up play and drive on a bit like a poor mans yaya toure can strike a ball to boot.

    Absolute steal for nowt IMHO…

  11. Pootle – youre barking up the wrong tree with Troy and myself, we are very very good friends fella, and when I try to get Dave to bite re not getting behind the lads – its because he said he hates it when its said to him 😆 , its in the same way he does to me re getting my head out of Ashley’s arse, I dont take it personally and neither does Dave (I hope – even though I do 😆 ).

Man up fella for gods sake.

  12. Clark to Leeds? That’s my guess. Wolves will more than likely be looking for a manager with Premier League experience to help them avoid the drop.

Can’t get my head round his sacking, though. 3 defeats in 30 games ain’t too shabby!

  13. Stardust I know you and Troy are friends/the same person.
That’s completely not the point I’m making.

I don’t need to man up, bitch-tits. I don’t spend all my time trolling other people to wind them up. I don’t whine when people have a pop at me or spend all my time shit stirring or provoking.

  14. JJ I bought Mbwia in FIFA so he must be good. Lol.
Do you think Ashley would spend the necessary loot to get Cissoko and Mbwia?

Gary – I think I read that Barnetta was on a free but I have no idea if its actually true mind.
