The mercurial Hatem Ben Arfa will get all of the plaudits for the 2-0 beating of Bolton on Monday; his goal was simply sensational and was the icebreaker in what was a very drab performance from the Toon.

But, alongside that world-class moment, was yet another goal from Newcastle United’s new No.9, Papiss Cisse. The Senegalese hotshot has begun his NUFC career on fire – 10 goals in 9 Premier League, surpassing the record set by Newcastle’s former No.9 Alan Shearer as the quickest ever to reach 10 goals.

Cisse is now the 11th top scorer in the division already! However, it isn’t just his outstanding goal scoring ability that pleases the Magpie fans. Cisse has a superb work ethic, consistently working back for the team and relentlessly chasing every ball played forward for him.

Yet another piece of shrewd business by NUFC in the January transfer market, helping the club now set up the mouth-watering prospect of Champion’s League football next season.

NUFC_Stats took pleasure in putting together Cisse’s numbers up to now…

He scores when he wants
    Left foot Right foot Headers.
Amazing skills, balance and control and an eye for the back of the net.
I dare to think what his stats would be like, over a complete season.
Lets hope he remains injury free unlike so many of our previous No9′s.
This Lad is a joy to watch and has everything in his locker to make him a NEW Legend on tyneside.
Shearers record could well be torn to shreds in a few years time.
Watch and shoot, Watch and shoot.

Great vid statto! Only 25 shots is absolutely mental, talk about clinical. He really scores all sorts of goals doesn’t he, like van Nistelrooy but has actually got a class shot on him.

Okay how wrong is it that I have a very small (but growing) delusional part of me that wants Everton to win in the belief that we will finish above Chelsea anyway and they won’t get Europe..!
Someone needs to tell me not get ahead of myself!

Rationally, I think Liverpool winning at the weekend will propel us further with Europe in the bag i don’t think we will have any fear going into the last games.

    This kid can score blindfolded!!!

You can understand the original price tag of £15m now so to have got him for £8m has been an absolute steal.

Emmense credit has to go to Pardew for the formation change though because asides from the positive effect it has had for Cisse and Benny it also seems to have unshackled Cabaye to show just how good he can be as an all round midfielder. We seem to have a really good balance to our team now. I think it is just as effective defensively but offensively is as good as any in this league now.
I know Ba is struggling alittle bit with it but he just needs one good game to get back on track. He’s a confidence player, his touch against Bolton was unusually shocking and I think that’s why he was frustrated and had alot to do with his reaction. But get him a goal or two and he’ll be back with us.

    That’s almost half price!!

    Newkie says:

His shooting skills are, to be honest, some of the best I’ve ever seen. He can put a half chance right into the top corner, its unbelievable.really. He also seems to be improving on his first touch and passing which I was skeptical of at first but he’s proved he can do that as well and his work rate is clear for all to see, and luckily he doesn’t seem to be showing any signs of tiring!

Only thing is composure! I’d still rather let Shola take a pen over him or Ba

Andy – that’s nearly as good as some of the offers at Sports Direct.com.
