  1. Tnk you stats you have just proved a point to bigdave for me ,krul didnt have to do a save πŸ˜‰ dave πŸ˜†

  2. Cabaye and Barfa were instrumental in that victory. They are now supplying the forwards with great opportunities and the football at times was superb.
As Shearer pointed out on MOTD, most fans would be disappointed if we don’t qualify for CL now.
There should be an open top parade if we qualify!

  3. By those stats we should have won 10-0 because we had 77% Possesion!

Clearly the best team in Europe based on that and I wouldn’t be suprised if Pardew was offered the Barca job before the end of the season. πŸ˜†

  4. Toonsy – yea that would have been some game going on in Pulis’ head! No wonder he wears that hat to keep all the excitment in!

  5. @Rossco

    You say;
By those stats we should have won 10 nil.

We only had 9 shots on target 😯

  6. @Rossco

Does anyone know what the potential profits are in the CL even if we get knocked out in the early stages. Bearing in my we would drop into the Europa cup anyway.

  7. Troy, too early to be talking about champions league with City, Everton, Chelsea, and a resurgent WIgan to face

  8. Troy; ‘there should be an open top parade if we qualify for CL’

Are you taking the roof of the reality bus ?

  9. Managed to watch the full game on Sky’s Game of the Day at 8:25.
Got to admit, it was one of the most one-sided games I’ve seen in a long time. I was celebrating victory after 20mins. They never looked like getting into the game. Tough run-in to come, but I see no reason why we can’t win every game we have left. We’re 4th for a reason, and seem to have what it takes to beat ANY team at the moment. Long may it continue!

  10. Word of warning lads n lasses. I’ll be updating the site later on so it might go a bit haywire for about 30 seconds. Then again it might not but at least you’ve been warned πŸ˜†

  11. I’ve just read the last thread. I see Big Daves going off it because Mike Ashley has been proven right and he looks disloyal as he didn’t get behind the team. Shame on Big Dave – takes a real man to admit you were wrong Dave – so come on fella – do it – get your cap in your hand. And you can’t call me a Johnny come lately to the pro Ash support – I have said this for 5 years – you just couldn’t see it.

  12. @B&B

I honestly can’t see us getting beat with our current line up! It’s like the KK days. We will always score so we always have a great chance.

  13. Troy, as daft as it seems, I tend to agree. We can only get better, unless Fatty sells our best players in the summer (that one was for you Stardy πŸ˜‰ )

I’ve been waiting for inconsistency/complacency to kick in for most of the season, but it just hasn’t. 😯

  14. Troy 😯 Shocked..

The interesting thing now is that…now that the expectation is on us and we have everything to play for, will we crumble like the Newcastle of old? πŸ˜•

  15. We have a very difficult run-in but having said that I am hoping for 8 points! Wins against Wigan and Everton and draws against Man City and Chelsea should put is in Champs League next season. Spurs were very poor on the weekend, a surprising drop in form. I think we can pip them for fourth. What a time to find this kind of form. Ben Arfa is really strutting his stuff now and Cabaye was fantastic, If we can strengthen the back 4 in the summer and bring in a right winger to compete with Marveaux I will be well satisfied. Santon is starting to look a real player as well. πŸ˜†

  16. Troy we would get at least 7.2 M euros if we get to Champs league. It would probably end up double that if we get off to a good start. The profit scheme is quite complicated so it will depend on early form. We shouldn’t count our chickens yet though, with 4 matches to go.

  17. I’d just like to say I have been thinking about CL footy being possible since November. Granted we were in the top 4 at the time but I don’t think anyone thought we’d stay there. I even stuck a couple of quid on it @20/1.

I’ve put some bets on this season and most have come off such as Ba to score 1st and to win 2-1 Ba to score 1st against Villa, us to beat Man U to nil and they’ve came off. Not likely but they did so I’m hoping this is a trend that I put daft bets on and they come true.

Not as good as the bloke on SkyBet who put a pound on Jelavic to score 1st in a 4-4 draw @ 4,000/1 😯

  18. Liverpool’s Prem season is really falling apart now. Surely Dalglish won’t survive unless they win the FA cup. No Europe for them next year so a drop in revenue as well. Strange to see ‘Arry’s team self-destruct as well. Would love to beat Man City even though it would probably hand the title to ManU. I guess we just worry about our own season. πŸ˜‰

  19. That wouldn’t surprise me Belter. Adebayor’s a tool. dirty ‘arry’s got a right job on his hands down there. Some monumental egos at that club, and more likely why they’re messing it all up now I.E. complacency. It’s got nowt to do with all this England bollocks.

…as for Liverpool, I can’t see Dalglish staying, even if they do win another trophy. Surely it’s only a matter of time before the fans turn on him. He looks, and manages, like he’s just woken up.

  20. …they’re in Europe though GeordieTwo, through their cup progress, unless you meant “this year”.

  21. I just meant we shouldn’t assume we’re getting into Champs League Rodzilla. It’s great even to get into the Europa league. Could we win it? Not sure, as it stands we still need depth. We’re better than Stoke but they really suffered playing so many games. Would love a trophy in the next couple of seasons. Colo raising a cup is already in my mind! πŸ˜€

  22. Rodz-

“He looks and manages like he’s just woken up.”

Sums it up well. And this doesn’t ever really get mentioned in regards to Pards, but he LOOKS impressive, doesn’t he? I always prefer the boss man to wear a suit on the sidelines. Looks SO much better and more professional. Pards just oozes class… much like his team..

Never seen a Mackem in Milan, boys

  23. G2….that’s a bit of a myth ref Stoke, they are on exactly the same points this season that they were on at this stage last, Fulham who got in via the fairplay are actually better of points wise this season than they were at the same stage last season πŸ˜‰

  24. @Stardust

You supported Ashley in the times he ran roughshod over the fans, lied to them and to the FA tribunal, relegation and much more.

It’s myself and Big Dave that fought his despicable actions and ultimately influenced the change in Ashley’s actions.

You should be thanking us and not slagging us. 😯
