Tottenham are the visitors to St James’ Park this evening as Alan Pardew and his squad of players look to set about proving that last season wasn’t just a one-off.
The match itself is going to be shown live on ESPN which should ensure there is a chance for a lot of people to see it although it’s obviously best if you are inside the ground. Not everyone can be there though, for instance I’ll be in Amsterdam trying to find somewhere to watch it live, but if you are going make sure you have a great time and sing yer heart oot for the lads!
I’ve waffled on a bit about the match in the match preview which you can view here if you haven’t already done so. It details any news of injuries (and there is quite a bit of that with regard to us) along with some general thoughts about the game and a history of the fixture.
Which just about sums it all up really. I won’t go on much more as, well, there isn’t much need to. We all know what we’re here for and that is to will the lads onto victory in what is our first competitive game of the season. Usual rules apply, team news will be posted below as soon as it can be and if you find any streams worth watching and happen to accidentally post a link in the ‘comments’ section below well….. Go for it!
Howay the lads!

ou es le Marveaux?
M your on the ball today
No colo
wonder if its 442 or 433
thought benny wasnt match fit, bit of a sneaky one from pards there
Dub Collo is suspected hamstring
DUBTOON 433 is my guess
Yeah Collo aggravated it on international duty
aye dave nufc official twitter says slight thigh injury. At least the rest of them made it i guess. Who knows what happened with marv
Good starting line up but look at the bench. It’s not particularly strong.
Going for 2-1 win
3-0 WBA

Joe cole comes on for a few minutes, does his hamstring and caroll replaces him
God, Arsenal must be shite, how man chances have they squandered now.
Giroud just missed a sitter against the scum…
Where is Marv?
I am surprised at Perch ahead of williamson , put pleased about it too .
QPR 0 – Swansea 5. hehehehe
? I know its very early in his NUFC start, but after watching Anita play, and in view of the fact Spurs have 5 in MF – I would have played Cisse on top, dropped Ba and played Anita in front of Taylor and Perch. Would be solid and still offer a fluid way through the MF with plenty of goal threat.
Here’s hoping Pards is bang on again! (And that I am wrong!)
5-0 Swansea
beat me to it Axel
Axel @17 agree but would prefer any of the three be alongside someone a bit more… cultured
If we win later then it will have been an awesome day
5 for fulham too
what happened to hoots organisation
Hope you are wrong aswell Stardust
was looking forward to seeing marv in action.
Dub
?
You mean the great brazilian perchinho is cultured enough for you
Stardust, Nah I think we should have a good go at them, strong team at home, why sit back. If they pack the midfield and we sit back they will just soak us up all day.
@24
Damn, i hate fulham, was hoping swansea would be on top even if it is the first game and a few teams havent played yet.
andy i meant the hairstyle not style of play
Stardy @ 19 your normally wrong anyway
Lets not forget the performances Perch put in last season ok he is no Colo but if him and Taylor are on their game today ,we win .Our forward line will scare the shit oota the spuds .
Good to have the busy matchday threads back too
Dub
.
we can dream about it but we cant all have hair like the great cpt colo
on another note, just signed up for the blog’s league on the fantasy football
I wonder if Tiote is going to introduce himsel to Defoe
I actually think Perchino has that little bit of pace that can make all the difference compared to Collo. Especially when playing a high line or against quicker strikers.
Posted this on the last thread.. Perch will be more mobile than Willo.. Spurs have Defoe & lennon up front, not the tallest blokes..
Axel @ 31 “scare the shit oota the spuds”
Not a good turn of phrase as we approach dinner time, mate.
dub
{out of breath istead of oops}
I’m loving it too, tis great to see the matchday banter, discussing/analysing the team and predicting the score. Can’t wait till kick off. The plan originally was that I get back from my 6th year weekend, get changed and my dad, brother and I go to the local to watch ESPN on their tv, but now my sister has booked us to see some tickets to see a comedian at the fringe for 6pm, so I won’t be able to go with the plan. I do however have a history essay due Monday so I’m gunna stay here and do that whilst listening/watching the footie.
Im a fan of perch definitely has pace on willo and cool but not the same positional knowledge or bringing the ball out. Encouraging to see him as 3rd choice though, and harps confirmed as no 2
aye funny marv missing been one of our better players pre-season
Streams galore:
http://www.wiziwig.tv/broadcast.php?matchid=165305&part=sports
Bloodzeed and YES are usually the most reliable.
Watch out spuds Demba Squared is commin to get ya……..2-0 to da toon!!!!
Maiga almost scoring after coming on as a sub in his first game.
Andy
what are you doing in school this early
dub
we finish end of june, start mid August
Marv – must be injured surely? I’m mean Raylor and Gosling on the bench?
Oh and just so you’s all know , i am more than a bit happy that the dirty bindippers lost .
GALWAYMAGPIE @ 41 cheers
I wonder whats up with Willo I thought he was our 2nd choice CB
@41 always good to have another irish fan about
Fuk it’s great to have footie back
Dave – he has an injury – apparently – he cant turn very quickly with that cart attached.
Dave it might just be tactical to counter the pace in spurs team. They’ve been playing bale up front in pre-season. With himself, defoe and lennon, we need a bit of speed
BIG DAVE i am more concerned with what Marveaux’s problem is , i think when fully fit he could be as good as HBA. Trouble is when has he been fit ?
Dave @49 thats what i was thinking then craig burley can on
AXEL @52 agree 100% mate
Could be part of the squad management for europa either lads, wants a few experienced heads to be fresh
Stardy @ 50
Dub @ 53 but to balance it up we have the pleasure of the King
Worried Spurs will play around Cabaye and Tiote. Especially our right side.
Good point about Perch’s speed, Dub.. even tho I mentioned it earlier on
Aye but hard to watch matches on mute when hes commentating
Damn, my new plan hasnt worked, i’m going to edinburgh, so will miss much of the match and will be behind on my essay
David Pleat is the biggest wanker of a commentator.. can’t stand the guy..
Aussie
just saying why its important vs spurs
Two quick pre match notes:
lets hope we have the same Liverpool this year.
firstly who was worried.about us finishing above arsenal/Liverpool, come on, own up
Secondly pardew should either be demanding a new cb or happy enough with good to be playing him when required. good luck perch
the wings are spurs’ major threat, though i feel Santon can handle lennon(with jonas’ help) and tiote can help simpson to nulify bale, Stevie T needs to make sure sigurdson doesn’t get a shot away, throwing himself in front of bullet shots if he has to.
Andy you need to stand up for yoursel Lad
Pictures doing the rounds of Erik Pieters at the match today, is he the next Dutchman to sign? #NUFC
LIKE FINALLY,HE IS ARRIVING.
Dave is right.. Andy sort your priorities out mate!!
AOD where’d you see that
Waddle
Where’s Marv ,is he injured?
Loads of results to make me smile today ,hopefully a win for us to round it off .Can’t believe Scum got a point out of the Arsenal
,Giroud missed a sitter apparently
.
Andy, Have you had your exam results yet ?.
Tick tick tick tick
Shola pulled his hamstring in the warm-up. Apparently we were going to name Marveaux as his replacement but we “can’t find him”
Amalfitano now on the bench.
Sholas Hammy just went ,They are looking for Marv to replace him on bench but can’t find him
. Another striker and CB please mr Ashley ,we ain’t kicked a ball yet and they are falling like stones.
Does Marveaux actually exist? Or have I just imagined everything up to now
Jon R at least his being left out probably was squad management then and not injury
Nice
yipee!!
Come on lets get it on
Howay the Lads
Sylvain Marveaux went missing in stadium??
Hopefully not gone AWOL. ending up romain took over his sub spot.
Dub – yeah true. Bet he’s gonna get an ear-bashing though
Hopefully we’ll see him on thursday.
AOD@67 There was rumours on Twitter that Debuchy would be in the stands today aswell.
Howay the lads.
Opps,it was suppose Sylvain Marveaux to replace shola??
then cant contact him, might be still sleeping.
Right c’mon lads ,let’s av it.
Song to barca?
why only a 2 year deal if you’re spending £16m
Song leaving Arsenal for £16m, boy they got problems now.
Tiote holding his hamstring after that
what was he a doubt because of
Fecking hell more injury ,Tiote now
I hope Tiote is ok
Thats it Saylor let Bale know your there
Good old Jonas still getting the free kicks
Dave I thought Bale was gonna cry
awful stuff so far
Theres another kim. Surprised Big Sam or Pulis have never gone after him
Kim @ 92 and another
well done Perch
M it is the 1st game so I guess they need a few games to get back up to speed
Attack v defence at the mo
I remember the first game last season. Sat in the Gallowgate and could have watched us and Arsenal play 5 hours and not score. Or string 3 passes together for that matter. Total anti-climax to the beginning of the season it was.
Marking bale all game on a booking
Not looking too potent and Simmo on a yellow now
Tiotes going off injured ,Anita on in a mo.
or not
Well done Benny
Kim @ 103 hold your horses Lass
We look a bit sluggish. Are the whole team fasting in solidarity?
Jon
i think Ramadan ended yesterday or today anyway
First game of the season and half have them have hardly kicked a ball…I’d be amazed if they weren’t sluggish….
Get in there Benny your scaring the shit outta them
Benny bring out the tackles from the spuds now
2cards to their cmf guys now.
Hecking fell soooooooooooo close
Fuck that was close. Benny the best player on the pitch
Sorry Kim *Huck fhat
ohhhhhhhh that was near there Benny is causing them probs
Interesting to see guti and ba as happy with ba shepherding walker out as they would be for a good cross into the box
well done Ba
Simmo nooooooooooooooooo
Simmo walking a tightrope.
Simmo hobbling a bit there . MA needs to dip into his wallet befor window ends .
Is it just me or has Lennon been awol
Dave i was just thinking, has defoe touched the ball yet?
You can hear the crowd everytime Benny gets the ball he must have a volume button on his boots
Dub I was thinking about him too as soon as I said that
As soon as he does
Christ almighty that was lucky
Who was just asking about Defoe? ,jesus that was close
garbage defending
Fuk that was close
Missing Colo’s cool head in defence a bit .
Bale’s a fecking pain in the arse. How can a winger and a midget get more shots on goal than our Dembas
Despite their injuries, Spurs look by far the better side in possession.
We basically play long longball whenever we play 4-4-2.
Just don’t like this formation.
JJ
Not the best of first impressions for Anita on our along the floor footie.
Reet come on Lads
hopefully Pards gets them fired up a bit more for 2nd half
Well there has been at least one good thing to report from SJP. The O2 reception on match days actually allows Internet access now.
Sadly that’s about it.
Full backs poor, midfield really poor, getting out numbered and giving te ball away. Need to change to 4-3-3 to match up. We can even do it with the same players so no subs needed.
Alreet lads. Does anyone know what happened to Marveaux?
Well not the most impressive first 45 of the season , but then again it could of been a lot worse . Just ask the bindippers
But to be serious Pardew needs to give them a half time Sir Alex like bollocking , that was piss poor .
Spurs are relying on a quick counter, if we play 433 we will get cut up.. not a bad start, the other games earlier were all scrappy.. bit of ring rust that’s all..
KingArfa haven’t heard anymore don’t know if they found him yet.
As I feared we are losing the MF badly – stemming from the nervousness at the back. Ba off, Anita for me to redress this – use Amalfi to replace One of the MF two
Agree Axel, least we aren’t behind. Need to kick on & hopefully grab an early Cisse special
Cabaye is our best mf passer, yet Tiote is the one spraying the passes.. badly.. need to get Cabaye on the ball more..
Tense or what. As scrappy as all the other games today. This one reminds me of Arsenal last year.
I reckon we need Shola on if we are going to play like this …
and Anita, and move Cabaye further forward.
HWTL
Aussie I have always said Cabaye offers very little unless he’s allowed to link up and get forward, he’s wasted as a sort of DMF
Bleh, boring long ball.
In some serious need of culture at the back… Put Vernon on…
Stardust@142 Amalfitano not on the subs bench mate,so can’t use him .
2 seasons ago we would be at least 1 behind. Quite happy with this scoreline, think we are starting to look better now
Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaget in
Fuck yeaaa, scared the crap outta the kids, haha
Cornish ,you was saying
Ba get in there Lad
Kim @ 142 he is on the bench in place of Strolla
Ramadan?! What Ramadan?!
Pards off
Dave I thought that was Marv not Amalfatano
Get in Ba, you wee dancer!
pards struggling..
Nice to see Pards so passionate at such an early stage of the season
.
Kim they couldn’t find Marv as thats who they were going to replace Strolla with
2nd goal now please
Fuking hell they cant even get a walkie talkie thats working
WTF did they spend the £35mil on
Dave ,Ah right ,wonder where Marv went .
Cornish yeah we could do with one around about now
Anita on for cabs??
Well done Simmo
Dave @164
Anita on for Tiote
well played Danny Simpson
God ,you gotta love Saylor
well played Tayls!
Anita to get on the sheet would be sweet
Haha, bit cocky Saylor
Kim what link are you watching ?
KIM marv went looking for richie hes nicked all the pies
Dave ,espn why?

Feckin midget ,twas comin tho.
FFS

mouthguard wearing pussy
Benny gets a pen
Not Ba please….

Hatem bombbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb
Whoop, whoop
Get in son
Barfa played well today.
keep it tight now lads and see it out.
u beautiful little frenchman, get in there!
lets get fuking into them
Obertan on for Ba,
looking for a quick counter
Kim because my espn on sky and go is always a minute or so behind most of the links
NICE TRY JONAS
Dave,that’s strange ,whys that then?
oh Jonas that was close
Kim donno its always the same, most of the links that are posted are normally a min or so ahead of mine
Oba
Anyone else see barfa’s face when obertan was coming on?
Come on Lads just hang on a few more mins
3 mins ,now hang on lads ,don’t blow it.
why is Oba just standing watching the ball get stuck in
Looks like Fans should own the club is getting to see a nice result on his visit to St James.
Yes ,well done lads
well done lads
Get in Lads 3 pts on the board
HBA the HBK for AVB
hopefully wont see too much of simpson with obertan in front of him
neither fill me with confidence
Yes! Howay the lads.
4th in the league, happy days
we started very poorly but ill take the 3 points, ill watch again on motd
Ice we were very scrappy but the 3pts are in the bag
If that was Ba happy, wouldnt like to see him mad
Well done,I thought you just about deserved the win.
See you at the lane.
cheers wyart lane,
best of luck for the season
how did the assistant not see that the Spuds goal was offside
Good to get the three points, but we’ll have to see how the lads do when they face a real test.
WYART LANE your one of the very few supporters that has came on here after a defeat and were honest and dignified
good luck for all but 1 more game for the rest of the season
So similar to last season…
Didn’t play the best football. But we have players who have a touch of class and those players got us through.
Think we’ll have games where we play better and don’t win.
Great start though!
Im sure Pards felt a bit bad after the he tapped the ref I know your not allowed to put your hands on them but sending him off was a bit ott
Slow start but we done enough for the 3 points so well happy
Great result although they outplayed us in the first half. I was hoping Ba would score to get his confidence going. Ben Arfa was a treat to watch. Worrying not seeing Collo at the back. Perch played well but wouldn’t want to see him at CB for long. Pardew will be pleased but please don’t stop looking for defensive help. Howay the lads!
Ice I can’t see him coming over just to watch the game
Class gets us out of trouble. Not a good performance. However, the table does not lie. We are in 4th, Liverpool in delegation zone.
DAVE thing is he will be very un-fit for quite a while like
Bloody phone. Relegation not Delegation
Ice yeah mate he’s been out for a while
Since 2007 we won our opening match.
Actually, without the Man City loanee Adebayor, Spurs would have been nowehere near the top of the league last season and that’s a fact.
Newcastle United won today through displaying true grit, and sublime brilliance when it was called for. The Ba goal was absolutely majestic, a half chance stroked into the net with absolute aplomb.
A stone wall penalty, superbly executed by HBA.
What about Pardew’s fore-arm-smash on the linesman, and Steven Taylor’s headed return to Timmy Krul when he was lying on the floor !. Immense result for the toon today. Tottenham will struggle for sure with the current bunch of under-achievers. Spurs are now on a slippery slope…
You know what, at half time I thought; they failed to capitalise. They hit the woodwork at least twice in the first half. At half time, after a masterclass by AVP tactics wise, it was still 0-0. Game on as far as I was concerned. After all that they didn’t score and dealt their hand, it was there for the taking. In the end we got it and we were due a win over our old ‘bogey team’ after they had somehow kept us at bay for so long. All things considered and other results wise we have had a good start to the season.
icedog
i hate that bloody arry what a bloody big gob arse-hole,his rant, quote none of the toon back 4 would even get on the spurs bench
hiya icedog we did good today
dede
icedog, that’s why ‘arry is on the Nat King Cole mate ….he knaas nowt…
Ideally parts of our back four shouldn’t be on our bench, but they were still good enough to keep powder puff Spurs at bay.
What about Stevey Taylor’s header back to Timmy Krul while he was lying on the floor. Brilliant man ..
MM aye Saylors header was a peach
Ice what was sloppy chops slobbering about now
DEDE yes we played poor but got result thats what counts
Big D…. has your Dede made his way through the academy to appear on the toon blog ? Howay the wee ‘un .
Ice he’s away down to watch a film
http://www.talksport.co.uk/radio/matchday-live/120818/pardew-full-praise-ben-afra-178974?
So proud of the battling Toon today….
Off to bed,…. howay the lads !
MM he pesters me all the time wanted me to get him his own name and pic, but I told him that under 16 arn’t really supposed to be on here
MM and least you can sleep easy tonight
Take it easy Lad
Dave we can keep it clean for a good cause like
not sure you’d want to expose him to troy and his antics in fenwicks and that irish bar tonight mind
Dub
Troy will probably be bladdered now or maybe he’s already curled up in the laundry basket
Dave ,How old is Dede?
Kim he’s 9 or he would say nearly 10
DAVE, Ah bless, defo a bit young for here then
Toonsy should start a junior blog
Kim I let him on an odd time if Ice is about cause he would yarn away to him
DAVE would get more sense oot of dede than some on here
Dave, I bet he’s made up with our start .
hwtl! Good performance, great result. Howay demba ba! People had forgotten about him, but he’s a fucking class striker
Newkie ,it was a great goal ,I have to say.
Ice @ 251 I agree

Kim yeah he’s been wearing his kit with pride all day
Reet away to get some scran subway it is
Kimtoon-Aye, it’s a good start. Hope to see plenty more of those
Was a bit worried when we lined up in a 4-4-2, particularly without colo (even considering we had so many of those others who were supposed to be injured) but we did well. So glad Benny netted
I wonder what will Pards do if Shola isn’t fit for thursday
Hope he doesn’t start Ba or Cisse, want them fresh for Chelsea, but can’t see him playing young Campbell. Maybe Vuckic, Marveaux and Obertan.
Assuming they can find Marveaux for thursday that is
Our first team let alone the squad is better than SBR’s .
Absolute quality !
Just back from the fringe(was mint and was picked out by one of the comedians to refer to all night
, shat it when he first asked me). Good to see the boys got a win, missed MOTD
and we forgot to record it so we’ve had to record tomorrows early morning one to watch
, hear benny was mint.
Great 3 points… 3-1/2 hours sleep on the back of the game… the next 9 months are going to be tiring
love it!!
Andy-Yes, Benny was mint. Glorious to watch, even if it was only 4-4-2
Aussie
All worth it, as long as we keep winning….
What a fantastic day. Prize winner for the MOTM award: Ben Arfa; closely followed by Saylor, and Guti. Welcome to the EPL, Vernon.
Prize winner of the plum pudding award, one Troy Stavers.
If you look at nothing else, please look at Troy’s post @287” and my previous post to which it is a response.
I imagine most bloggers have tried to steer clear of the exchange that my brother and I have had on here, not least because it’s extremely boring. However, I implore you to check out the post by one Troy Stavers at 287 under the article headed “Newcastle v Tottenham Premier League match preview”. I laughed so hard I felt sick.
All I can picture is little Troy Tempest, little Storm Stavers, seeing his blog persona crumple in front of his eyes, and frantically fingering his key pad in a desperate attempt to cling on to his little empire.
Two things that struck me straightaway: one – the strange absence of woo hoo hoos, which I know will surprise regular bloggers.
Two, takes a little imagination, though not much: I invite you to read his post whilst at the same time picturing a massive vice crunching his nuts as he desperately tries to hold on to his last vestiges of credibility.
I knew he was just the Chief Superintendent of the Sweeping Statement Police of course; however, I honestly didn’t realise until he announced himself today on a previous post as the all-time guardian of good taste, nemesis of vulgarity, and upholder of fair play. I know he has re-invented his persona once or twice, but I cannot believe that this is the same man who either was banned from this site or was in constant peril of being banned from it.
Don’t get me wrong. The lad is my brother, and I love him to bits, but I cannot understand, when he is such a light weight, how he is allowed to get away with so much. I can only put it down to his sometimes insightful observations, good sense of humour, and mirthful wit combined with his overbearing and dogmatic character.
Typical Troy quote to finish with: “I ask you again, how can’t you see I’m right ”
Don’t think you’ve heard the last of this, fella, because I intend to respond in full in due course.
Finally, I couldn’t believe it when the lad next to me at the match nudged me, and said look Troy’s come on. You can imagine what I was thinking for a split second. You don’t even know Troy. What? Where? I wouldn’t put it past him.
There. Substitute. Short arse. Vernon Troy.
Also what was AVB on about when on MOTD he said they were the better team? Sorry…no? Wanker
Also glad to see Simmo was on song for us despite all the transfer/contract bollocks. He was a lot more solid than Santon in defence, and essentially assited Ba’s goal-imo. Full back not a priority really..
Ah! That feeling of waking up victors again!
So so pleased for Demba getting straight out of his rut, and HBA off to a flying start! Like the look of Anita! Tidy little player and a cool looking guy…. looks happy and relaxed
Now who will we play on Thursday, and where the hell is Marv??
Great start to season Ben arfa back to his best Anita looks the part Great day
Re watching motd before heading out to work.
Great result. Well chuffed.
I share Pardew’s view that he is a bit worried that Chelsea and Man Utd may try and come and perloin Tiote and Cabaye before the transfer window closes at the end of Jan.
, though why they would want to join a club in transition like Arsenal is beyond me. Perhaps only the Frenh connection and a HUGE offer could drag them away ?
Arsenal also fall into that category too, now that they have lost Song, and got another 16 mill in the coffers….
I thought Cabaye had a great game, considering he hadn’t shown much pre-season. Tiote, what can you say about him, the man is a beast.
Anita looked a class act when he came on, tidy on the ball. He is more in a similar vein to Cabaye imo, but seems to be somewhat more mobile.
Tiote the enforcer is irreplaceable.
Maybe the toon are playing a cute game with Cabaye, keeping him sweet with the on-off Debuchy saga. Cabaye would look a bit of a wazzock if his best mate came to the toon, and he left himself…
First visit to SJP was a tense 1st half, but much more exciting 2nd! Gotta run–more traveling for me & the missus today. Good result & thanks for the tips to all you who guided me. Troy–I didn’t see any capes or fancy underpants, but I did see the famed Fenwicks!
I also saw Nile Ranger walking down the street. He’s a fucking big boy!
Aye Sime, that’ll put a spring in your step
Don’t irritate your work mates too much on a Sunday morning with your smiling demeanour and constant chirpy whistling and back-slapping ..
Hello lads and lasses. Not been on commentating for a while, but have watched from afar – mind that sounds a bit weird
. Fantastic start to the season and chuffed to bits for Demba that he scored at last and what a goal to boot. Great atmosphere in the ground today. Lets hope the transfer window shuts without us losing any of the lads. We’ve got a cracking little squad and don’t want to lose any of them. Shout out to Perchino, again, this lad just gets on with it, no fuss.
Im like that everyday MM
Did you sign up for the fantasy footy league?
FSOTC – hope you had a brilliant first visit. You must have been a lucky charm so you’re gonna have to relocate and go every game to make sure our winning streak continues. Hope you’re enjoying the beautiful North East.
Sime….aye mate I can believe it, that’s the typical demeanour of a toon fan these days…tralalalla life is good …howay the lads and more of it mate…
Fantasy footy league….naah, decided to give it a miss mate, decided it’ll cost me too much time, which I don’t really have…
Geordie Deb, welcome back ….
I thought the same yesterday about Perch, though at the same time Spuds didn’t play with a central striker, which made his life somewhat easier, cos Staylor was in at the thick of it when tackles were required, Perch cruised somewhat (in a positive sense)… The thing which impresses me with Perch is the way the lad has buckled down and won the fans over with some sterling displays. He isn’t a Paulo Maldini, but he just gets on with it, puts a tackle in and has really good distribution. Also can do a job as a defensive mid. Not too bad for a lad who only cost us 1 mill, which as we all know is peanuts in todays market… He doesn’t look out of place any more in our line-up..
Munich – can you provide links and quotations for Pardews comments?
Fans Should Own The Club
So happy for you that your first visit to the immense SJP went so well. Surely has wetted your appetite even more…
Good luck with the rest of your travels in the wonderful north east, keep us posted.
EvilFranky I have to own up to being a bit of a blog watcher….picked it up this morning from Ed’s blog….
With my post above I was only airing my own concerns as the transfer window comes to a close. Each of the three clubs I mentioned have glaring holes in central midfield imo, and Tiote and Cabaye are two class players. They all need to keep there stinking mitts away, but we know we have some stinking mitts at the toon too….
Roll on the 1st of Sept…
Well Ed can fuck himself and his retarded negative views.
Pardew hasn’t said nowt, just people trying to put 2+2 together.
On another note, someone on Facebook I know has a picture of them Carroll from last night and by all accounts he is coming back.
I’m going to say we have 2 final signings before the window shuts, Carroll and Pieters.
Evil@281,Reckon you might be right there mate, but word is Spurs may be about to bid for Carroll.
