The home side will be fresh from their League Cup triumph last weekend whilst United head into the game in good form after a productive January transfer window.
Indeed there is the carrot of a top ten place on offer for Newcastle this afternoon. If results at Sunderland, Stoke and Manchester United go our way and we manage to beat Swansea we could see ourselves sat in the top half of the table overnight. The down side is that such a scenario would require the Mackems to win a game and that is something I never really want, unless it really saves us from something like relegation or other such instances.
The match itself will not be broadcast live here in the UK but it is scheduled for overseas broadcast meaning there should, hopefully anyway, be a stream of the game available somewhere on the internet. Looks like Michael 12 is the new blog Villan. Only difference is that I think Michael has some very good arguements. And he can admit when he’s been wrong. eg: Cabaye.
I still think he’s wrong about Cisse, but its hard to argue with his goal scoring form at the moment.

Anyway Kimtoon we must end this debate. Clearly you will tear up all the facts and stats and reality itself just so you will not admit you lost the debate and your evidence is weak at best.
In conclusion and I am sure many people however much you dislike Ba for leaving or for ‘making’ Cisse poor (however he did it I don’t know, you all seem to Know intimately the facts)
A happy Ba (due to having the central role) upfront scoring 13 goals Vs A Happy Cisse (Now that he has the central role).

Do don’t seem to get it do you. The team dynamic is far better with Cisse (who wants to play here and plays for the team) than Ba (who didn’t want to be here and played for himself).
It isn’t Ba who destroyed Cisse’s confidence. It was poor management from Pardew.
Ba was a great player and did well for us the season before. But despite his goals this season, his attitude and disruption was one of the reasons we did poorly. Not the main reason, but one of the reasons.
He scored goals, but still in the opinion of many supporters, played rather poorly.
To say a happy Ba is better than a happy Cisse, you yourself have absolutely no factual basis to argue that point.
It is, just like my assessment, a matter of opinion.
The bottom line is, Ba is no longer our player, and doesn’t want to be. If you want to cream over him then put on a blue shirt and go and watch him warm the bench… Where he can’t get in the team ahead of a terribly out of form and goal lacking Fernando Torres.
WHY? You ask. Simply because managers know he offers goals on his day but nothing to the team dynamic, whereas Torres works and has a better influence on the team display, resulting in goals from other areas on the pitch. Goals which wouldn’t occur if Ba was taking shots every chance he got from every angle.

Cisse’s overall record playing the lone central role is (0.76 per game) 16 goals in 21 games for NUFC.
Ba’s record playing the central role is (0.77per game) 28 in 36 for NUFC.
That is basically identical. Incredible good for both of them!
Ba has scored 4 goals in his last 11 appearances for Chelsea.
Cisse has scored 3 goals in his last eight appearances for Newcastle.
Again they both played in the centre and they are basically identical.
If you are going to judge players on form that is fine, but if you are going to judge them on stats then use all the stats.

Ba played out wide but when placed back front he did went straight back to what he was doing. Why is it excusable for Cisse to rely on the excuse of a knocked confidence? Recover and clearly Ba is superior in this aspect.
Let Cisse get to 28 games then compare. Considering now that Cisse is flanked with far superior players in the form of Sissoko and Guffran. Despite that he only manages to equal Ba.
Ba’s game time is also significantly reduced @ Chelsea.

Because Ba had played out wide for much of his career. He had been used in that role at two previous clubs and is obviously more versatile.
Cisse at the age of 27 had NEVER played wide right in his professional career. He is an out and out striker.
Also as mentioned Cisse is more of a team player. Better as a link player.
Why does Ba only play a bit part role at Chelsea? Is he not better than Fernando Torres? Surely as a goal scorer is he superior? Why does Torres start most games? Does he offer more to the team dynamic?
Ba’s goal average is very impressive, however Cisse basically matches him, even after a long barren spell and Cisse contributes more to team play and link up play and has a far superior attitude than Ba.
If Cisse continues to fail to score goals into next season then he will obviously take criticism. But give him time. He has only had seven PL games back in his preferred role.

We cannot measure either of our opinions because they are just that opinions.
We will give Cisse time, that’s all he has now no doubt. Knowing people here that same time will be used to scheme up more excuses as to why he is struggling to hit the back of the net.
