Confirmed: Newcastle United snap up goalkeeper

Newcastle United have handed promising young goalkeeper Otto Huuhtanen a one-week trial, according to Ilves’ official website.

Newcastle United have certainly made a huge impact in the transfer market by securing the services of the likes of Dwight Gayle, Matt Ritchie and Metz Sels over the past week and manager Rafael Benitez is currently looking at further options to improve his squad.

It has been confirmed today that Jesus Gamez has also joined Newcastle from Spanish giants Atletico Madrid but the 31-year-old is not the only arrival to St. James’ Park.

According to reports, claims have been made that Newcastle have gone on to snap up the services of teenage goalkeeper Otto Huuhtanen as well.

Huuhtanen is currently plying his trade for Finnish outfit Ilves Tampere and the 16-year-old will now be given a great opportunity to earn a contract with Newcastle as he has been handed a trial from July 10th to July 17th by the Magpies.
