Alex Pritchard has been omitted from Tottenham’s pre-season tour to Australia and could be on his way out of the door, according to this morning’s Daily Mirror.
Swansea City are pondering a move for the £8m-rated player but Newcastle United and Leeds United would prefer loan deals.
Pritchard has spent the last two of the past three seasons on loan at Swindon Town and Peterborough United, earning twelve England caps at junior levels along the way. He’s played twice for Tottenham as well as for West Bromwich Albion whom he also joined on loan in January. His debut came in Newcastle’s 1 – 0 win over the Baggies at St James Park. It was a win that took us out of the bottom three.
There seems to be some surprise that Tottenham are willing to let him with many expecting him to become a regular member of their first team matchday squad this season.
If we can persuade Tottenham that a loan deal is viable, will we agree a fee in advance?
