Newcastle United maintain their stance on unpopular player

Sissoko

Newcastle United are not willing to lower their asking price for Moussa Sissoko, according to reports from the Shields Gazette.

Moussa Sissoko has made no secret of his desire to leave Newcastle United this summer and the club faithful is keen on seeing the midfielder depart as well.

While Newcastle are also prepared to let Sissoko go, they are certainly looking to take advantage of the midfielder’s brilliant performances at the European Championship by slapping a whopping £35 million asking price.

The huge demands from Newcastle means that a number of clubs have been put off from making an offer and as of now, Sissoko remains in the Magpies’ ranks.

In a further update, it has been claimed by the Shields Gazette that Newcastle are not looking to lower their demands for Sissoko despite the lack of offers on the table at the moment.

It will be interesting to see if any club will be willing to splash £35 million to sign Sissoko and Newcastle may eventually be forced into setting a much lower asking price for the French international.
