Premier League side looking to make a swoop for Newcastle man

Premier League outfit Burnley are planning to make a move for Newcastle United defender Paul Dummett, according to reports from the Daily Mail

Despite their summer splurge, Newcastle United are currently still in the market to sign new players and bringing in a defender seems to be high on the agenda for manager Rafael Benitez at the moment.

Reports emerging out of England have claimed that Everton left back Brendan Galloway is set to join Newcastle on a season long loan deal and the youngster could well prove to be a very good acquisition for the Magpies.

The arrival of Galloway means that Paul Dummett will be facing competition for a place in the starting lineup and if reports from the Daily Mail are to be believed, the 24-year-old could well be on his way out of St. James’ Park this summer.

The Daily Mail state that Premier League outfit Burnley are interested in acquiring the services of Dummett and that Newcastle may consider parting with the full-back for the right offer as they are currently well stocked at the back.
