Having refused to play for Sheffield Wednesday last weekend, Fernando Forestieri has clarified his future, reports The Shields Gazette.
The striker had been linked with us, Derby County and Norwich City in recent weeks but refused to play in the Owls match against the Canaries on Saturday. Despite his absence, Wednesday carved out a goalless draw at Carrow Road in what has been a useful start to the season for them.

Wednesday fans should admire his honesty. At least he admitted refusing to play; we know how it feels to have key players refusing to turn up as well. You only have to see the outcome of last season for proof of what happens when enough of them do that.
For Rafa Benitez, it’s undoubtedly a blow. The Argentinean-born Italian netted fifteen times in 36 appearances in last season’s Championship for Wednesday. As he adapts to English football, his goal return should only improve.
With just over a fortnight of the transfer window remaining, Rafa’s options are becoming thin on the ground.
