Paul Dummett is attracting more Premier League attention according to The Chronicle.
Burnley manager Sean Dyche has already made his admiration known for the left back but faces competition from West Bromwich Albion, who sent scouts to St James Park for last night’s game against Reading.
The Welsh international captained the side to a 4 – 1 victory and was to later describe the evening as “the proudest moment of my life”.
Newcastle aren’t keen on losing the player but with Brendan Galloway set to join this week, may be thinking about moving Dummett on. However, you would expect them to sign another left back on a permanent basis if they sell Dummett. If not, it looks like bad squad management although if he is unsettled, it might be better to let him go.
Albion manager has been looking to strengthen his back four this summer but has yet to land a left-sided defender.
