Newcastle United are currently the bookies’ favourites to secure the services of Lazio midfielder Ravel Morrison, according to reports from HITC.
Ravel Morrison made a surprising move to Lazio from West Ham United back in January 2015 and many in England were certainly interested to see if the talented midfielder would be able to revive his career in Italian football.
Unfortunately though, Morrison has struggled with Lazio as well and manager Simone Inzaghi recently revealed that he is actively looking to dispense with the services of 23-year-old this summer.
Inzaghi was quoted saying, “Morrison is officially on the market. We are looking for a destination for him, with the agreement of the club. We are talking of a big quality player but we are complete in the midfield.”
A move back to England has been seen as a real possibility for Morrison and now according to HITC, it has been claimed that Newcastle United are currently favourites to land the services of the former Manchester United youngster.
Citing odds from Sky Bet, HITC have reveal that Newcastle are currently priced at 15/8 to sign Morrison and it will certainly be interesting to see if the Magpies decide to take a chance on the volatile Englishman.
