Newcastle United reportedly agree deal for Premier League player

Newcastle United have agreed to sign Christian Atsu from Chelsea, according to reports from ESPN.

Newcastle United confirmed the signing of Achraf Lazaar recently and the arrival of the Moroccan international means that the Magpies have brought in no less than 11 new players to St. James’ Park this summer.

Despite enjoying such a successful window, manager Rafael Benitez does not seem to be content as of yet and is currently looking to further bolster his attacking lineup before the summer transfer window slams shut in a couple of days’ time.

Chelsea winger Christian Atsu has widely been mentioned as a target for Newcastle over the past few weeks and it can now be revealed that the Magpies have agreed a deal to sign the Ghanaian international.

According to reports from ESPN, Newcastle have managed to agree a loan deal with Chelsea for Atsu and that the 24-year-old has been given permission to travel to Tyneside to undergo a medical.
