Former Celtic star has harsh words for Tottenham man

Sissoko

Former Celtic attacker Chris Sutton has branded new Tottenham Hotspur signing Moussa Sissoko a ‘disgrace’ for his efforts while at Newcastle United.

Tottenham Hotspur stole the headlines on deadline day after splashing a whopping £30 million to secure the services of Moussa Sissoko from Newcastle United.

Many have been surprised that Tottenham were willing to pay so much for Sissoko and it will be interesting to see as to whether Spurs will get their money’s worth from the inconsistent Frenchman.

Tottenham were not the only team interested in signing Sissoko during the last few hours of deadline day and it was widely reported that Everton were also very keen on making their move for the 27-year-old.

Evidently, Everton missed out but despite the Toffees’ disappointment, former striker Chris Sutton has gone on to state that not signing Sissoko could prove to be a blessing in disguise and added that the former Toulouse international was a ‘disgrace’ at Newcastle.
