Striker Ayoze Perez has stated that Newcastle United can still improve a lot despite their brilliant recent run.
Newcastle United are currently on a fine run of six consecutive victories and the Magpies’ most recent performance in the 6-0 thumping of Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday night was arguably their best yet so far this season.
Newcastle dominated at Loftus Road from start to finish and there is a general consensus that Rafael Benitez’s men could have claimed the victory by an even bigger margin than they eventually did.
At this rate, the Magpies look set to ease their way to the Championship title and there is finally a feel good factor surrounding the club at the moment following years of struggle.
Despite the wonderful run of form though, striker Ayoze Perez is not getting carried away as of yet and the Spaniard has revealed that Newcastle can still improve in various areas during the coming matches.
Perez told the Chronicle, “Every game we are still improving, every day in training we are still improving. We know we have to get better at certain things and to fix things.
“Week by week we are getting better and if it’s winning games as we do it then it’s much better. Everything is going right at the moment, but we have to keep going.
“At this level you don’t have much time to think about the win and to enjoy it; We have to work again and think about the next game and about winning again.”
