Newcastle United likely to be without vital player against Norwich

Newcastle United could be without the services of DeAndre Yedlin for the crucial encounter against Norwich City on Wednesday night, according to the Shields Gazette.

Newcastle United were desperately unlucky not to grab the win from their clash against Aston Villa at Villa Park on Saturday and the dropped points means that the Magpies have moved down to 5th place in the Championship table.

Now Rafael Benitez’s men prepare for arguably their biggest game of the season so far as they square off against leaders Norwich City at St. James’ Park on Wednesday night.

One can be sure that Newcastle will be going all out in order to claim the three points from the encounter but the Tyneside based outfit have been handed worrying news ahead of the important fixture.

The Shields Gazette have claimed that right-back DeAndre Yedlin is still not fully fit following the ankle injury he picked up against Villa and in turn, could miss the clash.

With the duo of Vurnon Anita and Jesus Gamez also unavailable at the moment, Newcastle are facing a bit of a crisis in the right-back position and Benitez could well be forced into using Cheick Tiote as a makeshift full-back against Norwich.
