Jamaal Lascelles Has Given A Brilliant Interiew – Ahead Of Clash With His Old Team

As reported by the Chronicle, Newcastle United Captain Jamaal Lascelles has spoken about his former club – and it is exactly what we will all want to hear.
When speaking about his former club, Lascelles said: “I have a lot of memories there,”
He then spoke about his beginnings further, by saying: “I was there from eight and they brought me through the ranks.
The Newcastle skipper, who always speaks exceptionally well, has surely done himself more favours amongst the Geordie faithful, adding: “I don’t know how they will take to me, boos or claps. If I score I am definitely celebrating.
“Obviously when I signed for Newcastle I was loaned back to Forest and they didn’t give me the greatest of times during that year – it was a strange year.
“I was a Newcastle player, but I was playing for my old club and that was hard to get my head around.”
Lascelles is also clearly looking forward to the tough challenge that Forest will pose tonight, saying: “It will be nice to go back. Some of the boys I played with are still there,”.
He does, however, remain confident: “We want to bounce back and make a statement,” he said.
“We have done a run, lost one, and gone on another run.
Then, Lascelles urged the Newcastle fans to get behind the team: “I don’t want the fans to turn on us or the players to get their heads down.
“Everyone has to stay calm and stay positive.” He added.
This is yet another great interview from Lascelles, who is well on his way to being the best captain Newcastle have had for some years.
