As reported by The Chronicle, ex- Premier League manager Alan Curbishley believes that Newcastle United can already attract Premier League talent.
On the matter, Curbishley said: “I think they are the one club who can really go and buy the players that can cement them going up.
“They can buy Premier League players, they can pay the Premier League wages and the player can go there with the confidence that they are going to be a Premier League player next season.”
Having already signed Mo Diame, Dwight Gayle and Matt Ritchie whilst in the championship, Newcastle may feel that Curbishley is right and that they can continue to attract exciting players to the club.
In the summer, Newcastle showed a willingness to spend, hopefully they will do the same again in January and back Rafa Benitez with what he feels that he needs to take the club to the next level.
