NUFC Could Be Set For A Positive January

As reported by the Chronicle, this January, Newcastle United could be set for their most comfortable transfer window since Mike Ashley bought the club.

The reason being, Rafa Benitez is in charge.

This may sound like an over-used line to people outside of the area, or to the select group of supporters who have not fully bought into the ‘Rafalution’, but it is far more than that.

In recent years, those people trusted with United’s transfer policy have been inept and inadequate, something that is not the case for Benitez, who has been at the very top of the game for a number of years now.

So, unless you are a huge fan of Cheick Tiote, and I can’t imagine that there will be many of those left after this season, or there is an offer that is simply too good to turn down, we can all relax and look forward to additions to the squad, rather than losing our best and most important players.

  1. If Rafa is as good as you say he is, and his transfer policy not inept, why is Newcastle his sixth club in 6 years, and why does he get sacked so many times?

  2. As well as some new signings need to offload some of the players who are clearly not good enough ie, Dummitt, Colback Perez to name just 3
