As reported by the Chronicle, Rafa Benitez has warned Brighton that they are under pressure, now that they have overtaken Newcastle at the top of the table.
Speaking about Brighton, Benitez said: “It will be a boost for them but also more pressure.
“We have seen a lot of teams playing against us when were at the top who give 100%.
“Now every team that will play against Brighton will see it as an opportunity to do something important and there will be more pressure on them.”
Benitez also spoke about tomorrows game against Nottingham Forest, adding: “It’s more for everybody who was involved and saw that game.
“They were surprised and afterwards we were proved right because the red cards were rescinded.
“For us this is an opportunity to put things right and get three points.
“Hopefully our fans will realise that they are still a key part of our success.”
More mind games, Mr Benitez but just because NU wobbles under pressure, don’t assume the competition is as fragile!
