Three Of Newcastle’s Brightest Prospects Are Set For An Interesting Loan Deal

As reported by The Chronicle, Scottish side Kilmarnock are hopeful of completing a deal that could see them take three of Newcastle’s brightest prospects on loan.

The players in question are Cal Roberts, Freddie Woodman and Sean Longstaff.

Many feel that Woodman has what it takes to become Newcastle’s number one in the future. While some thought that with Christian Atsu heading off to the African Cup of Nations this January, Roberts may get at least one opportunity to show what he can do in the first team squad.

Longstaff, however, while an impressive goal scorer in the under 23’s, could do with the opportunity to play more senior football. Hopefully, if he does go to Scotland, he will be able to keep up his good form and come back with even more confidence next season.

Former Newcastle star Lee Clark, who is now in charge at Kilmarnock, would then be responsible for ensuring the players development continues.
