As reported by the Chronicle, Aleksandar Mitrovic has done his first interview in some time, and is not the most positive one.
Mitrovic has spoken about his injury and his expected recovery time, with the Serbian frontman saying: “The cut is big, but I feel good.
Despite the negative nature of the interview, Mitrovic did express his relief that his ligaments do not appear to be damaged, adding: “Thank God, it looks like the ligaments and the knee is fine and that they were not killed.
“However, I expect additional examinations, we have to be sure that there is no damage to the knee.
Also, despite the initial reports speculating that Mitrovic would be out for up to ten days, the Newcastle star seems to anticipate that the lay off will be much longer, adding: “The first forecasts are that I will be out for three or four weeks. The cut is just in an inconvenient spot.”
