Triple Departure Goes Under The Radar

As reported by the Chronicle, Kilmarnock, now managed by former Newcastle star Lee Clark, have completed a triple loan swoop for Newcastle United youngsters; Sean Longstaff, Freddie Woodman and Cal Roberts.

The SPL side reportedly made the approach upon the opening of the transfer window, on January 1st, but the deal has now been officially confirmed.

The three youngsters will go up to Scotland in search of more experience in senior football.

Kilmarnock confirmed the deal in an official club statement, which read: “The Kilmarnock Football Club would like to welcome Cal, Freddie and Sean to the Club and wish them the best of luck for the remainder of the season.”

The trio also seem to be rated very highly by their new manager, with Clark adding: They are good players who I know a lot about having watched them when I’ve been back in the North East.

“Freddie Woodman is one of the most sought after young goalkeepers in England and I know he’s very well thought of in terms of the English FA.”
