Here’s What Rafa Had To Say Ahead Of QPR Game Tonight

As reported by the Chronicle, after a difficult end to a frustrating January, Newcastle United open their February by hosting Queens Park Rangers.

Speaking yesterday, manager Rafa Benitez said the following about QPR:  “They are doing better & are a tough team. The manager has experience. We have more chances to win with these players.”

Rafa was also asked about Reading FC, who have closed the game on Newcastle in recent weeks, adding: “We must stay calm, keep working hard & have confidence in us. I know where we are & Reading FC are but I do not look at table.”

However, despite Reading closing the gap, it must be remembered that Newcastle have not one, but two games in hand on their rivals.

Rafa would have liked to have Andros Townsend playing tomorrow, but the winger will be staying in London, at least until the summer, after Newcastle failed to agree terms with his current club, Crystal Palace.
