As reported by the Chronicle, Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez has today given a strong press conference, even making comments about his future.
Giving his weekly press conference today, Benitez said: “I will not quit. I will not leave.
“It’s so simple, so clear. I focus on the next game, rest of season and to get promoted.
“We can’t blame each other now.”
“This club has made mistakes in the past.
“We can’t make them again. Fans want promotion, the club can’t make same mistakes again.
“I am talking about everyone making mistakes. If we want to be stronger, we have to stick together.”
“The fans, the club and everyone.”
When he was asked what may happen in the summer, Benitez simply said: “I can’t work on ‘if’. Derby County will be a tough game.
“We have the players we have until the season. We need to keep doing well.”
“It’s important to understand everyone can express feelings how they want. But it will change nothing.”
