Rafa Says Exactly What He Wants From His Players

As reported by the Chronicle, Rafa Benitez has said exactly what he wants from his team, as he challenges them to become part of “history”.

Speaking after the win against Derby, Benitez said: “The players we have until the end of the season are these players here now,”

“They can be part of the history: if we promote, and if we do well.”

“So we have to compete, and they have to keep competing between themselves.”

“This competition between players has been key during the first part of the season and it’s the same now.

“If you play Murphy, if you play Mitrovic, if you play another one then it doesn’t matter.

“It has to be for them, and the players, they have to compete with each other and they have to help each other.

“Then we’ll be stronger.”

“The competition will always help the player’s to improve,”
