What Did Mitrovic Make Of Being Substituted At Half Time Against Wolves?

As reported by the Chronicle, Aleksandar Mitrovic has reflected on his chaotic game against Wolves at the weekend.

Mitrovic, who scored the only goal of the game before being taken off at half-time, said after the match: “I scored a goal and got a yellow card.

“I don’t want to speak about it. My opinion is it wasn’t a yellow card and I don’t want speak again about it.

“We spoke in the dressing room at half-time and the gaffer said it will be better if I stayed on the bench because there was a lot of pressure on the referee and it could be a chance to get a second yellow”

“I think he (Benitez) did it smart and in the end he did it well.”

Further reflecting on the game, Mitrovic added: “We won a big three points.”

“We had a tough away game and we went home with three points after showing a good mentality. It was hard work and we deserved to win.”
