The Daily Star report that Luke Shaw wants out at Manchester United with Newcastle ready to make a summer move for the England left-back – should they get promoted.
In an exclusive story, the Daily Star claimed last night that the 21 year-old is keen on a move this summer to revive his career, having made just 15 appearances this season after falling out of Jose Mourinho’s first-team plans.
The report claims Stoke City and Crystal Palace are readying a £15m offer this summer, with Rafa Benitez expected to join the chase should Newcastle be promoted to the Premier League.
After last week saw us linked with a summer move for Dries Mertens, this appears to be the latest non-starter which must be taken with a pinch of salt.
While The Chronicle claim Newcastle once held an interest, with Graham Carr originally scouting Luke Shaw only for the club to end up signing Massaido Haidara, it would take considerable money and persuasion to see Shaw end up on Tyneside
Here’s how twitter reacted to the news that Newcastle could go after Shaw – a man signed for £30m back in 2014:
Luke Shaw to #NUFC is never happening. I would like Andrew Robertson from Hull though.

Luke Shaw reportedly wanting to leave #MUFC after lack of games this season. Would be a cracking loan signing. #NUFC
