NUFC’s media partner comments on the future of Jack Colback this summer

Jack Colback has admirers in the Premier League and Championship according the Chronicle and could be in line to leave the club this summer.

The article suggests that the Newcastle team that starts the new Premier League season could be unrecognisable to the XI that faced Barnsley on the last day of the Championship season.

There appears to be a feeling that Benitez doesn’t do sentiment and will axe players he believes should be moved on this summer. The report suggests Jack Colback’s place at the club could be under threat this summer and claims the midfielder ‘has admirers in the top and second tiers’.

Such suggestions will be music to the ears of several Newcastle fans, with a common belief that Colback was barely good enough for Championship football, never mind the Premier League.

Personally, i’d be glad to see the back of Colback. He ‘gets stuck in’, but lacks any sort of football brain and has been going backwards (quite literally) for a few seasons now.
