- Newcastle are considering a loan bid for Manchester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho this summer (The Chronicle).
- Rafa Benitez remains interested in re-signing Andros Townsend and our hopes of doing so may be boosted after Sam Allardyce’s shock resignation from Crystal Palace (The Chronicle).
- Christian Atsu’s £6.2m move to NUFC has been completed. He’s signed a four-year-deal with the club.
- Newcastle are eyeing Celtic centre-back Jozo Simunovic with Benitez said to be targeting ‘at least’ one centre-back (The Chronicle).
- French reports claim NUFC are monitoring the progress of former midfielder Mehdi Abeid – he currently plays at Dijon in Ligue 1 (L’EQUIPE).
- Anderlecht are interested in Matz Sels as NUFC look set to loan the goalkeeper out this summer. Sels is thought to be keen on a move for his hopes of making Belgium’s 2018 World Cup squad (The Chronicle).
- Italian reports claim Newcastle United are among several clubs interested in signing Inter Milan’s Colombian centre-back Jeison Murillo this summer (Gazzette dello Sport).
