NUFC 'hopeful' of completing loan-deal for Chelsea star over the next 48 hours
Newcastle United hope to tie up a loan deal for Chelsea's Tammy Abraham over the next 48 hours according to news breaking from several outlets late last night.
The Daily Mail report that the striker is on the verge of a move to Tyneside, whilst the Chronicle claim that a deal is close, with the club hoping to finalise the signing over the weekend, should everything go to plan.
It is understood that Newcastle will beat Brighton, Leicester, Middlesborough and Sunderland to his signature, with United agreeing to pay all of his £25,000 weekly wages.
The 19-year-old broke onto the scene in outstanding fashion last season, scoring an incredible 23 Championship goals for relegation threatened Bristol City last season – the second highest total in the league, equalling Dwight Gayle’s impressive tally.

I have my reservations about how much game time we can give to a 19-year-old striker unproven at this level, however the rangy striker did impress me whenever I watched him last season.
His promising all round play, lively movement, deadly finishing and 6ft 4 frame suggested to me that he'd have every chance of becoming a top striker.
