Transfer talk – a round up of today’s NUFC transfer gossip – 12/06/2017

Today’s round up of all NUFC related transfer talk:

  • Rafa Benitez has identified West Ham goalkeeper Adrian as a back up option should he fail in his attempts to sign Napoli’s Pepe Reina (The Sun).
  • Tammy Abraham has commented on his future, admitting that he is still undecided as to where he will be playing next season (Daily Mail).
  • Fulham boss Slovisa Jokanovic claims Newcastle offered £20m for star midfielder Tom Cairney but it was rejected, stating ‘he is not for Newcastle’ and will not be sold this summer (The Chronicle).

  • Daryl Murphy has admitted that Benitez will listen to offers for him this summer, suggesting the Irishman’s time at Newcastle looks to have came to an end.
  • Newcastle are set to battle West Brom for the signature of £15m rated Everton midfielder James McCarthy (Daily Star)
  • Stoke City are believed to be pondering a bid for NUFC left-back Paul Dummett, with Achraf Lazaar and Massaido Haidara also expected to leave the club this summer (The Chronicle)
