The grieving mother of Cheick Tiote’s child has shared her disappointment in Newcastle United football club, revealing that not one representative attended his funeral in the Ivory Coast today.
Nikki Houblon, the former mistress to the late Cheick Tiote and mother of his child, was in attendance for the funeral in his homeland today and admitted to feeling let down by the lack of Newcastle United presence.
She makes reference to the flight tickets being just £350, suggesting officials from NUFC had no excuse not to pay their respects to a man who served our club for 7 years of his life.

Nikki did confirm that a man from a Tyneside Mosque Tiote attended was present, but claims there was no one from the club itself at Cheick’s funeral today.

Newcastle fans have offered Nikki their support in what must be a sad time for her and all the family, and she has responded today by voicing her admiration for the Toon Army, claiming the fans have always been ‘amazing’:

Tiote was a player who, despite his faults, gave us everything he had out on the pitch and will forever be remembered by Newcastle fans as a fighter and footballing warrior.

I believe the other mothers are in Ivory Coast, Nikki has always been actively involved with NUFC, and living in Newcastle herself, understand where she’s coming from. She has been actively involved in Cheicks funeral and probably felt the gap from NUFC more
