Torino midfielder Afriyie Acquah has issued a come and get me plea to Newcastle United, confirming in an interview that he hopes to complete a move to Tyneside this summer.
Newcastle have been linked with a summer move for the 25-year-old Ghanaian and after recently suggesting a move to England was on the cards, Acquah has spoken out again.
See it for yourself in the video below, showing Acquah’s come and get me plea to NUFC during an interview in his homeland:

He states that Newcastle have not been in touch as of yet, but admits that he is ‘waiting’ for his agent to notify him of our interest.
Acquah admits to seeing a lot on social media linking him with a move to Newcastle over the past week, and appears to very much in the dark about a potential move to the club, however he does state at the end of the interview that he is ‘hoping it could be true’, confirming he would would happily move to Newcastle if we were to step up our interest.
Newcastle are crying out for signings, Benitez wants a defensive midfielder and Acquah is clearly open to the move, so it sounds like there’s a deal to be done here if Newcastle do in fact hold a genuine interest in the player.
