Liverpool have turned down loan offers from Newcastle, Burnley and Middlesbrough for talented winger Sheyi Ojo according to The Mirror, with Jurgen Klopp understood to be keen on seeing him in action during pre-season before making a decision where he’ll play next season.
It was revealed on Wednesday night that we had submitted a loan offer for the England U-20 International, however today’s news suggests Liverpool are in no rush to decide on his immediate future.
Whilst the our initial loan offer has been rejected, it appears a potential loan could still be considered later in the summer transfer window should Klopp decide a loan move is best for the winger following his pre-season displays.
Ojo, known for his pace and directness, played alongside Newcastle’s very own Freddie Woodman and Adam Armstrong in England’s U-20 World Cup success this summer.
If the deal is resurrected, I fully expect Liverpool to want first-team assurances for 20-year-old, however I would question the suitability of signing a relatively unproven and raw winger for such crucial season back in the top flight?
