- Sky Sports have confirmed this afternoon that Florian Lejeune’s move to Newcastle is almost done after an agreement has been struck with Eibar – he is expected to sign “within the next 48 hours” (Sky Sports)
- Sheffield Wednesday are now prepared to meet Newcastle’s £5.5m valuation for Grant Hanley and are expected to lodge a formal bid in the coming days (Daily Mirror)
- Newcastle are set to battle West Brom for a cut-price £2m deal for Hull City midfielder Tom Huddlestone (The Sun)
- NUFC have released positive statement on transfers after the minutes from last weeks fans forum meeting were published, stating that a transfer breakthrough is expected “imminently” as the club aims to deliver some positive news in the “coming days”.
