NUFC players’ Fantasy Football prices revealed ahead of the new Premier League season

The new Premier League season is upon us and with that means a new season of Fantasy football, with the official Premier League site releasing players prices for the upcoming season.

So, without further adieu, here’s how Rafa Benitez’s men have been priced:

Goalkeepers

Rob Elliot (£4.0m) looks like a bargain buy this summer if Rafa Benitez fails to bring in a new number one. Darlow, the more expensive option at £4.5m, lost his place to the Irish International in the run in last season and could be sold.

Defenders

Clark, Lejeune & Lascelles (all £4.5m) will be hoping for clean sheets given our generous opening fixtures, however Yedlin is the stand out but at £4.5m here for me.

Guaranteed to play, unlike the CB’s who could often rotate, and always in with a chance of an assist with his marauding runs down the right & link up play with Matt Ritchie.

Midfielders

Ritchie (£6.0m) and Shelvey (£5.5) look like the stand out options here. Both contributed to several goals and assists last season and have undoubted Premier League ability.

Christian Atsu could be a worthwhile budget option at £5.0m if he picked up where he left off last season, and whilst Mo Diame struggled last season, he could be worth looking at if he can find some form in the number 10 role.

Forwards

With 23 goals last season Dwight Gayle is an intriguing proposition at £6.5m. Ayoze Perez’s best form has been in the Premier League in a Newcastle shirt, but as he’s classed as a striker this year, yet often played in the no.10 role, he doesn’t look such an attractive option.

Mitrovic is an interesting one at just £5.0m. He struggled last season and could be sold this summer, but the Serbian did score 9 goals in his debut season in the top flight in 2015/16.

Our tips: Yedlin (£4.0m), Ritchie (£6.0m) and Gayle (£6.5m)
