- Rafa Benitez looks set to miss out on reported transfer target Lucas Leiva, with Liverpool midfielder looking set for a move to Lazio after they had a £5m bid accepted (Northern Echo)
- With Joe Hart looking set to complete his loan move to West Ham, The Chronicle claim Newcastle will be offered The Hammers’ goalkeeper Darren Randolph.
- After being released earlier this summer, Sammy Ameobi has completed a move to recently promoted Championship side Bolton Wanderers, joining on a one-year-deal as a free agent.
