Last night Newcastle had a £12m bid accepted for Norwich winger Jacob Murphy and after arriving in Dublin early this morning, the 22-year-old winger has been captured by Sky Sports’ Keith Downie heading for his Newcastle United medical – which he will be undergoing as we speak after agreeing personal terms earlier today:

As reported by several well placed sources (see below), the England U-21 winger has already agreed personal terms, therefore confirmation of his £12m move is expected to be completed this evening, providing there is no unexpected hiccups with his medical.

Murphy was one of Norwich’s stand out performers in the Championship last season, bagging 13 goals and 6 assists as well as scoring both home and away against Newcastle in the league.
He also shone during this summers U-21 European Championship’s, impressing head scout Steve Nickson with some electric cameos and a goal against Poland in the group stages.
Murphy has pace, can beat a man and has an eye for goal. That, combined with his hunger to succeed on Tyneside as a boyhood Newcastle fan, all bodes well as Newcastle look set to sign an exciting talent with real potential.
