Jacob Murphy and Javier Manquillo jetted into our Dublin training base yesterday to undergo medicals their Newcastle United medicals, and today, Sky Sports’ North-East correspondent Keith Downie has provided fans with the latest update, as we await their official confirmation.
Keith has revealed that Newcastle hope to confirm the £12m signing Murphy today, whilst the announcement of Javier Manquillo’s arrival is ‘more likely’ to come tomorrow:

This is a timely update to break the silence on the pairs situation, with many Newcastle fans (including myself) eager to know the latest on both deals.
It looked like their signings may have been announced last night, with both deals moving swiftly yesterday, however Keith shed some light on the delay, stating medicals can take longer in other countries (with both taking place in Ireland, so the pair can link up with the squad on their Dublin based training camp):
Takes longer to do medicals in other countries/hospitals. https://t.co/HK1oylhDwc
