Transfer talk – a round up of today’s NUFC transfer gossip – 21/07/2017

Today’s round up of all NUFC related transfer talk:

  • Newcastle have confirmed the £4.5m signing of Javier Manquillo. The right-back joins from Atletico Madrid on a three-year deal (NUFC Official).
  • Daryl Murphy looks set to finalise a move away from St. James’ Park after it has been confirmed that the striker has completed his Nottingham Forest medical after they agreed a £2m fee with Newcastle (Sky Sports).
  • Newcastle, Swansea and West Ham are all considering loan moves for Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere (The Telegraph)
  • Following the arrivals of Jacob Murphy and Javier Manquillo, The Chronicle believe Benitez will now turn his attentions to a new striker and goalkeeper.

  • Aleksandar Mitrovic has spoken out once again about his future at the club, admitting he is unsure if he will remain a Newcastle United player for much longer (The Chronicle).
  • Reports from Turkey claim Galatasaray face competition from Newcastle for Manchester City’s holding midfielder Fernando.
  • Rumoured left-back target Andrew Robertson won’t be signing for Newcastle this summer, with Liverpool announcing his £10m signing today.
  • NUFC U-23 star Sean Longstaff has completed a loan move to League One side Blackpool until January 2018 (NUFC Official)
