Newcastle enjoyed their best performance of pre-season thus far last night, seeing off Bradford City 4-0 – with NUFC new boy Jacob Murphy stealing the show with two impressive goals.
Murphy – who joined the club last week in a £10m deal for Norwich – was brought on at half-time and changed the game.
His first goal in black and white was a glimmer of his cool and calm nature infront of goal, as Murphy rounded the keeper and slotted home after getting in behind the Bradford defence:

Murphy’s second was a clever piece of quick thinking in the box, stabbing home a Rolando Aarons cross in emphatic fashion:

The England U-21 winger has pace to burn and will clearly work his socks off for his boyhood club next season, but it is promising to see the 22-year old show some final product – a trait so often lacking in wingers of his nature.
