Transfer talk – a round up of today’s NUFC transfer gossip – 07/08/2017

Today’s round up of all NUFC related transfer talk:

  •  Rafa Benitez has commented on his interest in Arsenal’s Lucas Perez, confirming his interest in the striker and his desire to ‘balance his NUFC squad.
  • The Chronicle have confirmed that Premier League duo Everton and Crystal Palace hold ‘serious interest’ over the potential permanent signing of highly rated Newcastle goalkeeper Freddie Woodman.
  • According to the Stoke Senitel, Newcastle only offered Stoke ‘a fraction’ of the £12m bid that was rumoured to have been made for Joselu by the media, with Stoke believed to be looking to recoup the £5.75m fee they paid for the Spaniard two seasons ago.

  • Genoa have enquired over the availability of Newcastle’s Achraf Lazaar according to reports in Italy (Primocanale).
  • Doubts have emerged over the future of Jack Colback after the midfielder was left out of NUFC’s squad yet again for the final pre-season friendly against Verona.

  1. Just because we presently have a manager such as Rafa.,doesn’t mean we can rest assured the club couldn’t be relegated once more.
    And Ashley had better spring for a few decent players as it looks like this is one of the worst sides we have ever started a PL season with.
    A bunch of cheap no names from various sources and it looks like we are out of funds already, what happened to the big bucks promised.
    This guy has to go, he’s in big trouble with his real business, which obviously reflects on NUFC
    and has put up trial balloons in an attempt to find a minority partner to inject funds into the club, with no bites.
    Face it who would want to go into partnership with this guy, so FFS just sell the club and for a reasonable price, being no-one in his right mind is going to pay 400m..for it.
    Enough damage has been done during his ownership, time to go.
