According to reports from the Daily Mail, Newcastle United are currently in talks with Bristol City over the signing of Joe Bryan.
Newcastle United were suddenly dealt with an injury crisis in defence following the Premier League opener against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday as the duo of Paul Dummett as well as new signing Florian Lejeune both had to be forced off due to injury problems.
In addition to Dummett and Lejeune, DeAndre Yedlin is still struggling with injury at the moment while the duo of Massaido Haidara and Achraf Lazaar are not in contention after being told by manager Rafael Benitez they do not have a future at the club.
As a result, Benitez could be forced into the transfer market for a new defender and according to reports from the Daily Mail, claims have been made that the Magpies are currently in negotiations over the signing of Bristol City defender Joe Bryan.
Bryan is a left-sided full-back who has consistently been one of the best defenders in the Championship over the past few seasons and Newcastle are currently said to be in talks over a £2million swoop for the talented 23-year-old.
