According to reports from Goal, Newcastle United have not yet completed the signing of Kenedy as Chelsea are refusing to let him leave for the time being.
Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez is desperately looking to strengthen his squad during the next few weeks and bringing in a couple of attacking players will be the priority for the Spaniard.
Benitez has finally been able to secure the services of Joselu from Stoke City and one can expect a few new faces to be arriving to St. James’ Park during the upcoming days.
Chelsea attacker Kenedy has been consistently linked with Newcastle over the past few weeks but despite various reports claiming that the transfer was close, it has evidently not come into fruition as of yet.
While Newcastle still remain keen on signing the Brazilian attacker, a report from Goal have revealed why the prospective deal is yet to be completed.
It has been claimed that Chelsea want to allow Kenedy to join Newcastle for him to earn regular minutes on the pitch but manager Antonio Conte has not sanctioned the deal as of yet due to the fact that his Blues squad is a bit thin at the moment and the Italian will only allow the 21-year-old to leave for St. James’ Park once he acquires new players, with the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Danny Drinkwater and Everton’s Ross Barkley being linked to Stamford Bridge.
