According to reports from Italian outlet Tutto Mercato Web, Newcastle United are keen on acquiring the services of Stevan Jovetic.
Newcastle United clearly need to bring in new players before the end of the summer transfer window in order to be able to do well in the Premier League and signing a striker will be one of the main priorities for manager Rafael Benitez, even though he did recently land Joselu from Stoke City.
A host of names continue to be linked with a move to Newcastle and now according to reports from Italian outlet Tutto Mercato Web, claims have been made that the Magpies are currently plotting a swoop for Inter Milan attacker Stevan Jovetic.
Jovetic has struggled for Inter Milan over the last two seasons and as a result, it is being reported that Newcastle will be able to sign the Montenegro international for a reasonable fee in the region of around £13million.
Although Jovetic does not boast a strong record in recent times, the 27-year-old is a Premier League winner with Manchester City and he could well prove to be a decent signing for the Magpies if Benitez is able to get the best out of him.
