Premier League outfit Newcastle United have placed a £13million offer for Sampdoria midfielder Dennis Praet, according to reports emerging out of Italy.
Newcastle United’s need to improve their squad before the end of the summer transfer window was emphasized by the Magpies’ very disappointing 1-0 defeat against Huddersfield Town on Sunday and it will now be very interesting to see who the Magpies sign in the coming week.
It does look like Newcastle can do with some reinforcing at every single area of the pitch and manager Rafael Benitez is believed to be looking to do exactly that.
Benitez is in the market for a new midfielder as Jack Colback is set to leave while Jonjo Shelvey cannot be trusted to keep his discipline throughout the campaign and Sampdoria star Dennis Praet had recently been touted as a target for the Spaniard.
Now in a development to the story, reports from Italian outlet Il Sicolo XIX have claimed that Newcastle have already placed a bid of around £13million for Praet and there is a strong chance that the Magpies can land the Belgian international.
